The idea for this sculpture slowly evolved over a few years from intuitions and dreams received on the island of Alonissos. From these I became aware of the possibility that a female spiritual entity is watching over the island.

She feels to be strongly connected with the light, the sea and the land, and has an "emerging" presence, bringing and reflecting a new, richer and more sensuous life to the island. I have tried to capture something of this in the sculpture.
